Defined work, clear expectations

What I can help with

  • Replace an existing fan at a suitable wired location
  • Assemble and mount the customer-supplied fan
  • Set up included controls within the agreed scope
  • Check operation, light functions, and noticeable wobble

You work directly with me, Travis, from the request through the finished work. I confirm what is included before scheduling and review any unexpected conditions before additional work proceeds.

Details that make a difference

A light fixture box may not support a fan

A fan moves and puts different loads on its support than a light fixture. The existing box must be approved for fan support, or the fan must have another manufacturer-approved structural mounting method. A light already hanging from the ceiling does not establish that the location is ready for a fan. I review the mounting conditions before proceeding.

Choose for ceiling height and exposure

Flush-mount and downrod fans serve different rooms. Sloped ceilings may need a compatible adapter, and clearances depend on the model and room. For a porch, choose a fan rated for the exposure it will receive; a covered location can still be damp. Send the product link and ceiling height so these details can be considered before the visit.

Controls are part of the plan

Remote receivers, wall switches, and integrated LED lights are not interchangeable across every fan. Include a photo of the existing switch and tell me whether you want to keep the current control arrangement. New circuits, rewiring, and concealed electrical troubleshooting are outside this service; those conditions need an electrical professional.

Questions about ceiling fan installation

Can you replace a light with a ceiling fan?

Only if the location has suitable support and wiring. Send photos and the fan model; support may need an on-site check.

Can you install a porch fan?

Yes, when the location is suitable and the fan is rated for the exposure. Tell me whether the porch is enclosed, covered, or open to rain.

Is the fan included?

The service is installation labor for your supplied fan unless the written quote says otherwise. Any additional parts are confirmed in the scope.
